Carol was borne and grew up in Baldwin Park, Not far from me. Her family consists of her Father (Claud Eugine Kimmel), mother (Margret Cecelia Coleman Kimmel), Brother (Wayne Claud Kimmel), sister (Laura Jean Kimmel Meyers). Carol is the baby of the family.
During her youth the family took vacations to visit the Coleman and Haws sides of the family (mostly in Utah} and the Kimmel's in Nebraska. She enjoyed these trips usually with her mom, dad and Sister. Wayne is 11 years older and by the time Carol was 8, Wayne was married and out of the house.
She became friends with my sister (Ruth Ann) during her teen years. In 1967 Carol organized a "Surprise" birthday party for Ruth Ann at her home. My mother arranged for me to get Ruth Ann to the party. Everything worked as expected, except for one thing, I got surprised! Carol was a very interesting (not forgetting beautiful) young lady! We were married in October 1968. The best thing I ever did. She is a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and companion. Thanks Mom! October 19, 2008 will be our fortieth anniversary.

Whorton's In Arizona
Travis, Kristy, Tabitha and Kylie moved from Wasilla, Alaska to Prescott, Arizona on the 4th of October 2007. Travis works as a department manager for "Lowe's" at the new store opening here in December 2007.
The Whorton's will be living with us until they find suitable housing in this area.
Having the two little granddaughters with us is really a treat. Tabitha will be 4 on the 13th of June 2007 and Kylie will be 1 on the 8th of June 2007. Getting to know these two little cuties is am experience for me. I wish I had the opportunity to spend the amount of time I with my children when they were young that I am privileged to spend with these two!
Having Travis and Kristy here to help Carol take care of me doesn't hurt either.

- I Started flying (much to my mothers displeasure) October of 1964. Graduated Baldwin Park High School in 1964 however having earned enough credits for graduation the previous year, I entered Mt. San Antonio JC fall of 1963 (Aviation Science major). Earned my Private Pilots License on 4 July 1965. Earned my A&P license Spring 1966. Hired in with Flying Tiger Line as a Hangar Mechanic October 1966. Filled assignments in Cold Bay, Seattle, Anchorage and Los Angeles As Line Mechanic, Lead Mechanic and Supervisor of Maintenance Control (LAX Headquarters). Tigers was absorbed by FedEx in August of 1989. Worked in the Engineering department (LAX satellite office) supporting 747, 727, DC-8, DC-10, A300-600, A310 and MD-11 Aircraft. Assigned to Singapore in 2003 supporting our MD-11 heavy maintenance vendor (SASCO). January Retired 2008. Over the years logged a little over 3,000 hours of flying general aviation aircraft of all sizes. Most of the Piper line from the J-3 Cub through Aztec. Most of the Beech line From the D-17 Stagger Wing through the King Air. Cessna's From the C-120 through C-500. Pilot in command (PIC) stopped in 2006 due medical reasons.
